That said, it’s odd that there’s no backlight built into the keyboard for use in dark rooms or airplane cabins. Microsoft claims it “offers 30% more key travel than the MacBook Air,” and the keyboard certainly feels satisfyingly responsive while typing. Available in a variety of colors (Sage, Ice Blue, Sandstone and Platinum), the Laptop Go 2’s aluminum casing feels sturdy enough to tackle some bumps you might encounter on the go. The build quality is impeccable despite the competitive price. It’s easy to pick up with one hand and slip into a backpack or briefcase when you’re ready to hit the road. Like its 2020 predecessor, the Surface Laptop Go 2 sports a 12.4-inch touch-enabled display that helps keep the weight of the device down to just 1.13kg, while the slimline profile is only 15.7mm thick. Surface Laptop Go 2: 11th generation Core i5, 4GB or 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB SSD storage, is available in consumer (Windows 11 Home) or business (Windows 11 Pro, secured Core PC) versions.
